PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment apparatus for business use capable of decomposing and extinguishing garbage of business efficiently. SOLUTION: The garbage treatment apparatus comprises a hopper 1 for charging the garbage, a crusher 2 for crushing the charged garbage, a dehydrator 3 for dehydrating the crushed garbage and a garbage-disposing machine 4 for mixing the dehydrated garbage with culture bed material containing microorganisms. The hopper 1, the crusher 2, the dehydrator 3 and the garbage-disposing machine 4 are connected by conveyors 5, 6, 7, respectively. The hopper 1, the crusher 2, the dehydrator 3, the garbage-disposing machine 4 and the respective conveyors 5, 6, 7 are constituted in closed structures. The hopper 1, the crusher 2, the dehydrator 3, the garbage-disposing machine 4 and the respective conveyors 5, 6, 7 are washed with washing water jetted from a washing nozzle 53. Waste water from washing by the washing water and waste water from dehydration by the dehydrator 3 are collected in a sewage tank 54 and detoxified before being discharged.
