PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment apparatus capable of saving electric bills, surely deodorizing exhaust gas discharged outside and sufficiently dehumidifying moisture in the garbage treatment apparatus. SOLUTION: A suction passage 2 for sucking fresh air and an exhaust passage 3 for discharging exhaust gas in a garbage treatment tank 1 are connected to and made to communicate with the garbage treatment tank 1 for decomposing and treating garbage with microorganisms living in a garbage treating material 6. An exhaust fan 4 and a deodorizer 5 for deodorizing an odor of the exhaust gas are arranged in the exhaust passage 3 in such a state that the exhaust fan 4 is located at a garbage treatment tank 1 side. A branch passage 7 is branched from the exhaust passage 3 between the exhaust fan 4 and the deodorizer 5, and the branch passage 7 is connected to and made to communicate with the suction passage 2 or the garbage treatment tank 1. A dehumidifier 8 is disposed in the branch passage 7.
