PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for automatic selection of hen's eggs by placing a printing mechanism at a rational position from the viewpoints of cost, treating efficiency, etc. SOLUTION: The objective egg selection apparatus is provided with an egg transporting part 2 for transporting hen's eggs each having a blunt end and a sharp end along the 1st transportation path in a prescribed row, a weighing part 11 placed at the delivery end of the 1st transportation path and weighing the transported egg, a single row conveyor 13 to transport the egg weighed at the weighing part along the 2nd transportation path in a row in a state directing the blunt end and the sharp end in definite directions and an ink-jet printing mechanism 22 for printing the surface of the egg 1 transported along the 2nd transportation path with information relating to the egg (best-before date, weight, etc.).
