PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressive packaging method for easily compressive packaging a relatively large or large foam product, and a foam product obtained by this method. SOLUTION: On a pedestal 1 a film 4 is placed, on the film 4 a foam product P is placed, and on the product a top film 5 is placed. The periphery of the foam product is surrounded by a frame body 3, and through the bottom end of the frame body 3 and the pedestal 1, the top film 5 is extended outward. The top film 5 is always under tension being pulled from the periphery. From the top of the top film 5, the product P is pressed by a pressing member 2, and the product is compressed with the top film. After the product is compressed to an adequate degree, the top and the bottom films are heat sealed for obtaining a compressively packaged foam product. In heat sealing, an area not heat sealed is left partially, and from this area, air in the packaged body is sucked and removed. This partially unsealed part is then heat sealed for obtaining a smaller packaged foam product.
