The invention relates to fabric softening compositions to be used during the rinse cycle of a textile laundering operation to provide fabric softening/static control benefits. Said compositions comprise one or more polymers having a hydrophobic backbone with one or more hydrophilic side chains and are characterized by excellent storage stability and viscosity characteristics especially at elevated temperatures.
