PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnesium nutrient to be formulated with a milk product, and a magnesium-enriched milk product because the production of a magnesium- enriched milk product having good flavor, and hardly causing coagulation and formation of sedimentation of a protein as a product is not achieved, although the milk product enriched with the magnesium becomes a more superior nutritive food if the mild product is enriched with the magnesium, because milk products are generally excellent sources of the supply of calcium. SOLUTION: This magnesium nutrient is obtained by reacting a magnesium source (e.g. magnesium carbonate and dolomite) with an organic acid (e.g. malic acid and citric acid), one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of gluconic acid, glucono-δ-lactone, sodium gluconate, potassium gluconate and calcium gluconate, and potassium citrate and/or sodium citrate in an aqueous medium. The magnesium-enriched milk product is produced by formulating the magnesium nutrient with a milk raw material. |
