OBJECT DETECTING DEVICE, ELEVATOR CONTROL SYSTEM, AND TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive object detecting device capable of detecting the moving state of objects in a proper space on a real-time basis and to provide an elevator control system and a traffic control system adapting the object detecting device. SOLUTION: A detection section 25 arranged with a plurality of impulse radars 1 in a matrix shape is provided under the floor of an elevator hall. A control part 26 receives the outputs of the impulse radars 1 and judges that persons are stopped in the detection areas of the impulse radars 1 continuously detecting objects for the prescribed time or longer, thereby the number of waiting persons for the elevator can be properly detected on a real-time basis without using an expensive image processing device. The elevator can be preferentially allocated to the story having many waiting persons, and the efficient operation of the elevator can be conducted.
