PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new thermal insulating container in which thermal insulating property is excellent, a display portion to be displayed with some relatively small letters is made to be seen easily and its printing effect is increased, an entire weight of the container is prohibited from being increased, expenditure required for a recycling of the container is restricted, being excellent economically. SOLUTION: The container comprises a paper container main body 1 processed with water-proof treatment and a surface thermal insulating plate cover 2 adhered to an outer surface of a peripheral wall of the paper container main body 1. A plurality of spaced-apart longitudinal convex ridges 6 are formed at a part of the surface thermal insulating plate 2. Portions other than the longitudinal concave ridges are formed as flat plates 7, and the inner side of the longitudinal concave ridges 6 are adhered to the paper container main body 1.
