PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for treating isopropyl alcohol- containing water, capable of treating wastewater containing isopropyl alcohol in a factory for manufacturing electronic parts such as a semiconductor, a liquid crystal or the like under a mild condition using a small amount of an oxidizer to recover the same as raw water for ultrapure water. SOLUTION: In the method and apparatus for treating isopropyl alcohol- containing water, for example, isopropyl-containing wastewater generated in an electronic part manufacturing factory by heating, oxidation and degassing and recovering the obtained treated water as water for making ultrapure water, a heating means, an oxidation means and a vacuum degassing means are provided.
