PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for an oil-forming treatment of a waste plastic by which the residue of the thermal decomposition is prevented from becoming massive, and a high-boiling returning liquid can be gasified with a low energy consumption. SOLUTION: This method for the oil-forming of the waste plastic comprises returning the high boiling point returning liquid to a thermal decomposition furnace B installed in the same heater as the thermal decomposition furnace A, or the thermal decomposition furnace B installed in the heating site different from the heater for the thermal decomposition furnace A, and forming the waste plastic and the returning liquid into the decomposition gas by the means for separately gasifying the raw material waste plastic and the high-boiling point liquid.
