PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handwriting style address printer capable of taking a balance of thicknesses of characters by detecting the thickness of the character written an a handwriting original in the case of printing an address and a sender on a postcard, an envelope or the like by handwriting and automatically regulating the thickness. SOLUTION: The address printer comprises a reader for reading image information recorded on the original, a memory for storing the read image information and an output unit for outputting the stored image information to a printing sheet. The stored information has first image information and second image information. A line width of the first information and a line width of the second information are obtained. If the width of the first information is thinner than that of the second information, the first information is thinned or the second information is thickened, and the thinned or thickened information is output to the sheet.
