PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that on peeling a covering tape off from a carrier tape, the part of the paste layer of the covering tape is isolated in a thread like state (hereinafter called as threading) or the part of the past layer transfers to the carrier tape side (hereinafter called adhesive transfer), and in such cases, the thread like paste makes a contact with a housed parts- picking up claws to make an erroneous action or attaches to the housed parts. SOLUTION: This covering tape having a base film and a paste layer laminated on the above base film is obtained by compounding the above paste layer with 100 pt.wt. thermoplastic resin, 0.1-30 pt.wt. filler, 1-100 pt.wt. thermosetting resin and 0.1-10 pt.wt. thermal polymerization initiator.
