PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying device and a carrying method of leaflets capable of certainly delivering the leaflets diagonally overlapped and carried on a carrying conveyor to a following supply line at the optimal inclined position. SOLUTION: This carrying device is devised so that leaflets 5 are carried in a diagonally accumulated position on a carrier conveyor divided into a front part carrying conveyor 1 and a rear part carrying conveyor 2 and belt length of the front part carrying conveyor 1 is made less than length in the height direction of the leaflets 5, it is furnished with a first detection sensor 7 to stop driving of the front part carrier conveyor by detecting that a lower end part of the leaflet 5a of the front part reaches a terminal end part of the front part carrying conveyor 1 and a second detection sensor 8 to stop driving of the rear part carrier conveyor by detecting that an upper end part of the leaflet 5a of the front part reaches the terminal end part of the front part carrying conveyor 1, and it is the carrier device having a stopper 6 against which the lower end part of the leaflet 5a on the head part hits on the terminal end part of the front part carrying conveyor 1 and devised to hold the leaflet 5a on the front part in the optimal inclined position to deliver it to a following process, and its carrying method.
