PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper cup not lowering its lateral pushing strength even when the basis weight of a paper is lowered and also provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A paper cup is formed of a body section 11 and a bottom section 12 and having a mouth edge section with an opening peripheral edge curling outwardly, and the vertical section shape of the mouth edge section 14 is formed into a square shape.
