PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compass with a measure capable of drawing or cutting a circular shape, an arc shape or an arbitrary design of a large size which cannot be drawn by a conventional stationery or drafting compass. SOLUTION: A conventional compass using two legs fixed at one point to each other by arbitrarily opening the legs is improved to two posts independent from the connected two legs. The posts are connected by a measuring tape such as made of a steel. Thus, an interval of the two supporting legs is largely enlarged, and the large circular shape or the arc shape of several times as large as the conventional one can be drawn or cut.
