METHOD FOR PURIFYING USED EDIBLE OIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purification method capable of continuously using an edible oil for a long period of time while keeping an excellent state. SOLUTION: This method for purifying an edible oil is characterized in that an edible oil after heating and cooking is filtrated with an adsorbent composed of a mixture of a silica/magnesium-based gel and diatomaceous earth every time it is used. The adsorbent is obtained by mixing the silica/magnesium- based gel with 20-30 wt.% of diatomaceous earth. The edible oil after heating and cooking is mixed with the adsorbent in the ratio of 0.5-3 wt.% to the edible oil.
