<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive horizontal fermenter by which labors are saved and its operating method. SOLUTION: This horizontal fermenter 1 is provided with a fermentation tank for storing a raw material and composting it by fermentation and an agitator 2 by which the raw material is turned around, moved toward the oulet and agitated. The fermentation tank is furnished with the primary fermentation tank 10 and secondary fermentation tank 20 arranged in parallel and adjacent to each other, and the raw material inlet 11 of the primary fermentation tank 10 and the compost outlet 22 of the secondary fermentation tank 20 are set adjacent to each other.</p> |
