<p>1356057 Dihydropyrimido[4,5-d]pyridazine derivatives TAKEDA YAKUHIN KOGYO KK 11 Oct 1971 [14 Oct 1970] 47174/71 Heading C2C Novel compounds of general Formula (I) or their 1,4-dihydro-isomers or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof where R 1 is an unsubstituted or substituted aromatic hydrocarbon or heterocyclic group and R 2 is a secondary or tertiary amino group are prepared by reducing a compound of Formula (II) preferably by (1) catalytic reduction using hydrogen and platinum oxide or (2) using a reducing agent such as lithium aluminium hydride, sodium borohydride. or sodium/ethyl alcohol. The 1,4-isomer is prepared by making alkaline an aqueous solution of the 1,2-isomer. When R 2 is a tertiary amino group it may form a heterocyclic ring which may contain a further heteroatom. Compounds of Formula I are diuretics and form with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent a pharmaceutical composition which may be administered orally or parenterally.</p> |
