PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a sufficient washing time even if a mechanism for allowing a washing nozzle to follow the movement of a container or a mechanism for intermittently conveying the container is not provided. SOLUTION: Carriers 8 for holding containers 10 are arranged to a conveyor chain 6 at a constant interval in a conveying direction and the conveyor chain 6 is continuously allowed to run by an inverter motor 12. The inverter motor 12 is controlled to allow the conveyor chain 6 to run at a high speed and at a low speed during the movement of the carriers 8 by one pitch. A large number of washing nozzles 32a, 32b, 34a, 34b, 40b, 42c, 42d are provided in the conveying direction of the carriers 8 and arranged to the sections D where the conveyor chain 6 runs at a low speed.
