The screening system against sound and/or light comprises at least one vertical component (1) moving along at least one vertical control component (4) and at least one regulating component (9) for the movement of the screening component, bringing it to different positions in a height direction. The screening component can also be moved sideways in a guide rail (11) from which it is suspended. To the guide rail a sliding suspension component (15) can be fitted, forming a fixture (16) for the control component (4) and a guide (17) and locking (18) arrangement for the regulating component.
