PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide small-sized waveguide.slot line converter with a low loss. SOLUTION: The waveguide.slot line converter is mounted to an opening of a waveguide 1 to convert power. A short circuit metallic layer 4 and a slot line 2 formed by notching part the layer 4 in a slit shape are formed on one side of a dielectric board 3. Furthermore, a matching element is formed in the middle of the other side and a ground metallic layer 6 in close contact with the opening of the waveguide at mounting is formed to the surrounding of the matching element. Moreover, the ground metallic layer 6 and the short circuit metallic layer 4 are connected by through-holes 7 to set the same potential to the short-circuit metallic layer 4 and the waveguide 1. Thus, the small- sized waveguide.slot line converter with a reduced propagation loss is formed. Adjusting the size of the matching element, the distance between the matching element and the slot line and the insertion length of the slot line can optionally adjust the conversion efficiency, the conversion frequency band and its band width. |
