PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker component that is applicable to an optional speaker (e.g. a woofer, a mid-range speaker, a tweeter) and has a diaphragm available for a full-range speaker and an edge made of the same base material as that of the diaphragm. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of this invention includes a process where a base member is formed, a process where a thermosetting resin is impregnated to a part of the base member to form a diaphragm, and a process where the impregnated thermosetting resin is cured to form the diaphragm and the edge. Thus, the speaker component that has the base, the diaphragm including the thermosetting resin impregnated to the base, and the edge including the same base material as that of the diaphragm, is obtained.
