PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal fixing device capable of preventing such a situation that a user touches a hindrance member heated to be hot by his (her) hand by using the hindrance member receiving heat from a heating roller and hardly causing temperature rise. SOLUTION: In the thermal fixing device, recording paper P is carried while it is held between the heating roller 4 and a pressure roller 6 in contact with the roller 4 and toner stuck to the paper P is heated, pressured and fixed. The device is equipped with a device main body 1 made of synthetic resin and having an advancing port 11 in which the paper P advances at a contact part between the rollers 4 and 6 surrounding the rollers 4 and 6. Then, the member 13 made of synthetic resin and preventing the paper P from moving to the roller 4 from the port 11 is integrally formed at a spot facing to the port 11 in the main body 1. On the member 13, plural ribs 13a arranged side by side in the shaft direction of the roller 4 are arranged side by side at some intervals.
