PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tufting machine that can properly pull and tighten yarn loops formed on a base fabric and can properly draw out the yarn to be fed to the sewing needle. SOLUTION: The balancing device 60 is equipped with a vertical pair of the threading members 13, 14 fixed to the needle rod 11 and a vertical pair of the stationary yarn-guiding members 51, 52 stationarily set to the needle rod case 12 to thread the yarn extending from the side of the yarn feeder 19 to the upper side threading member 13, the upper side stationary yarn guide member 51, the lower side stationary yarn guide member 52, the lower side threading member in turns and finally connected to the sewing needle 10. Further, the yarn-nipping motion that holds on the way the yarn extending from the upper side stationary yarn guide member 51 to the lower side stationary yarn guide member 52 in the nipped state and the yarn-releasing motion are repeated by turns in the synchronization with the vertically reciprocal motion of the needle rod 11.
