PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user interface, a signal, a system, a program, and a method for displaying thumbnail images including contents from many image sources. SOLUTION: This describes the user interface, method, system, signal, and software for displaying information concerned with thumbnail images of contents from one ore more medium sources having one or more medium formats. Those thumbnail images are displayed in banners so that associated information can easily be found. Items associated with the thumbnail images are displayed when the thumbnails can be focused or selected in response to user input. The displayed items may include, e.g. a menu of program information, information sent back by an Internet search, or options which can be used by the focused or selected thumbnail image content sources. |
