PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove display unevenness due to projecting and recessing shape of a color filter surface by forming transparent electrodes for forming a color filter and for displaying with no position-shifting without necessitating precise positioning. SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal cell 18 of the color liquid crystal display element 1 a liquid crystal layer 4 is arranged between the one and the other substrates 2, 3. The one substrate 2 is manufactured by forming a transparent electrode film 11a for forming the color filter on the one surface 10a of a plastic substrate 10 and a transparent electrode film 13a for displaying on the other surface 10b respectively, by coating the electrode films 11a, 13a with resists having light absorption wavelength bands different with each other respectively, by collectively exposing them via a single mask, by developing and etching them, and releasing the resist thereby forming the transparent electrodes 11, 13 for forming the color filter and for displaying and furthermore by forming the color filter 12 by using the transparent electrode 11 for forming the color filter with an electrodeposition method or the like. |
