PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice reading aloud device for changing a reading aloud position, for storing a file, and for selecting an electronic mail by a simple operation and a portable information terminal. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an inputting device 20 for inputting characters and/or symbol information, a storage device 30 for storing the inputted information, a voice outputting device 50 for outputting a voice, a control processor 60 including a voice reading aloud means 62 for reading aloud character strings stored in the storage device 30, and for allowing the voice outputting device 50 to output the character strings as a voice, and a control button 40 for instructing the change of the reading aloud position to the voice reading aloud means 63. The control button 40 designates a backward or forward position according to the operation so that the reading aloud position can be changed according to the designated information. |
