IC engine (1) is linked to organs having control commands (17) and catalyzer activity determination means, including a calculator (18) and temperature sensors (21,22,23). Once the activity level is determined, the control can modify the injected fuel amount if necessary. The fuel amount can take two values: one for initiating the catalysis and another one for maintaining the catalysis.
