PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card processor capable of reliably carrying and processing even an inflexible ID card that has a fixed thickness and can not be bent. SOLUTION: This card processor is provided with a card carrying mechanism carrying an inserted card, a card holding mechanism holding the carried card, a 1st sending mechanism sending the held card and a 2nd sending mechanism which sends the held card and is different from the 1st sending mechanism. In the card processor, the card holding mechanism is connected to the 1st sending mechanism when the card is in a prescribed 1st state and is connected to the 2nd sending mechanism when the card is in a prescribed 2nd state.
