PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a motion detector that can detect a motion of a video image without error to realize motion YC separation and motion adaptive scanning line interpolation with high accuracy. SOLUTION: After putting together the outputs of 1st and 2nd detection circuits, addition or subtraction is applied to the motion quantity following the detected quantity of vertical and horizontal edges of the video image, the output is given to a spatiotemporal filter and an isolating point elimination circuit is provided after the filter to detect a motion. |
