PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a frame of a specially important channel from being lost on a display device which writes data on a common memory shared among channels. SOLUTION: A frame counter 15 counts the number N of frames when an access control circuit 12 writes data of a current channel to the common memory 11. Further, a comparator 17 outputs a switching signal SW to a channel counter 14 to indicate the witching of the channel when the number N of frames reaches an upper-limit value L that a rate setting part 16 indicates. Consequently, the ratio of periods wherein respective channels are selected can be set and even when the speed of writing to the common memory 11 is too low to write all channels without missing any frame, a frame of a specially important channel can be prevented from being lost.
