PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display data transfer device which is adaptive to higher display resolution of a display device by automatically thinning out data through the capacity (transfer rate) of a data transfer line. SOLUTION: This display data transfer device for a computer system which has a display data generation part and a display part decentralized and arranged and is equipped with a display data transmitting circuit and a display data receiving circuit is provided with an input buffer and an output buffer for the mentioned display data transmitting circuit and display data receiving circuit; and the the input buffer on the display data transmitting circuit side inputs data at the transfer rate outputted by the generation and the output buffer outputs the data at the transfer rate of the transfer line, and the input buffer on the display data receiving circuit side inputs data at the data transfer rate of the transfer line and the output buffer outputs data according to the resolution of the display part.
