PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the technique which can perform the advanced processing characteristics check by forming the complicated test pattern image in the control strip in the photographic processing device. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a testing exposure means for exposing the photographic sensitive material for the development testing, and the exposed photographic sensitive materials 1 and 2, and consists of exposure heads 40 and 8 in which the testing exposure means 4 and 9 expose the development testing image, which consists of a plurality of pixels to the photographic sensitive material by the exposure set for the every pixel. Processing procedure parts 6 and 7, which develop the exposed photographic sensitive material, a testing image storage part which stores the digital testing image data of the development testing image, an exposure control part which controls the exposure of the exposure head per pixel in units of pixel based on the digital digital testing image data, and an evaluation means for evaluating the processing procedure characteristics of the processing procedure part on the basis of density information on the obtained development testing image are provided.
