PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network managing method which detects all network devices in the case of starting a network management system, efficiently detects the addition and elimination of a network device and can easily fetch the managing function of network device dependence to the network management system. SOLUTION: The network devices and the network management system are connected by a communication network, and the network management system automatically detects all of the network devices in the case of being started, passively detects the addition and elimination of a network device according to event notification, and acquires the managing function of network device dependence mounted on the network device side to be included in the network management system, and thereby, the network management system corresponding to a plurality of network devices is dynamically constructed.
