The plastic coating frame is composed of a transparent film (1) with adhesive on one surface and a protective paper sheet (2) initially stuck against the transparent film adhesive surface. The protective sheet is pre-cut, along a closed line (3), so as to delimit a central surface (5), with dimensions corresponding to the format of the document to be coated, and an edge zone (6). After withdrawal of the protective paper central zone the document is applied against the free adhesive zone. The later withdrawal of the edge zone, disengaging the peripheral zone of the adhesive surface, allows the fixing of the transparent film and the document on the support.
