PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate close contacting of a material to be cold stored with the inner most wall of a cooling storage cabinet and making mistake on its mounting position by mounting a back guard 11 at the innermost side of a shelf plate 10. SOLUTION: The cooling storage cabinet of the type for circulating cold air comprises a cooler provided in an upper part therein, and a shelf plate 10 for partitioning in the cabinet to pass the cold air. In this case, a back guard 11 for preventing close contacting of a material to be cooled with the innermost wall of the cabinet is mounted at the innermost side of the cabinet of the plate 10. Recesses 15, 16 and protrusions (screws) 17, 18 for positioning both the plate 10 and the guard 11 are provided between the plate 10 and the guard 11. The material is not brought into close contact with the innermost wall by the guard 11. The cold air can be circulated thoroughly downwardly. The mounting position of the guard 3 will not be mistaken by the protrusions and the recesses 15 to 18 provided between the plate 10 and the guard 11. Then, the circulation of the cold air will not be uneven between the right and the left in the cabinet.
