A braiding machine has modules mounted next to each other on a fixed plate. Each module has at least three pairs of guide channels with notched wheels supplying bobbins at constant speed to the front face of the plate. The wheels are driven by a single motor through gear trains mounted behind the plate. An Independent claim is included for the following: (a) In the above machine each pair of guide channels intersects radially and tangentially or intersect circumferentially. At cirumferential tangential zones the plate has removable needles ensuring the bobbins move along the channels and transferring the bobbins between channels. Preferred Features: Each channel is a groove formed in the plate and having a succession of semi-circular sections. Channels in the same pair intersect at the end of each semi-circular section. The plate has a central cylindrical opening and a polygonal outer edge.
