摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup which can suppress the inclination of luminous fluxes supplied to a photodetector to a lower level when an optical element inclines. SOLUTION: The optical element 160 in the optical pickup 52 makes the incident luminous fluxes incident from a first surface 161a of a first prism 161, reflects the luminous fluxes refracted by the first surface 161a with a second surface 161b, refracts the luminous fluxes reflected by the second surface 161b at the joint surface of the first prism 161 and the second prism 162 and refracts the luminous fluxes refracted by the joint surface at the first surface 162a of the second prism 162, therebys forming the exit luminous fluxes. The direction of the incident luminous fluxes and the direction of the exit luminous fluxes intersect orthogonally with each other within the same plane. The luminous fluxes from the direction of the exit luminous fluxes are made incident from the first surface 162a of the second prism 162 and the luminous fluxes refracted by the first surface 162a are reflected by a film 164. The luminous fluxes reflected by the film 164 are refracted by a third surface 162c, are emitted toward a direction reverse from the direction of the incident luminous fluxes and are supplied to the photodetector 8.
