PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for preventing an abnormal overheating of a gas cooking stove which can prevent a wall surface or a counter from being overheated, even if a cooking utensil such as a pan is placed closer to the wall side than it is necessary or a cooking utensil such as a cauldron is used. SOLUTION: A gas cooking stove 1 is placed along the periphery of the surface of a building wall 5. A position restriction stopper 4 is provided protrusively over the upper surface of the stove 1. The stopper 4 comes into contact with the external face of a cooking utensil 3 in order to prevent the utensil 3 such as a pan 3a placed on a grate 2 of the stove 1 from being placed closer to the wall 5 apart from the prefixed position.
