PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a mobile phone and a position information acquisition method that can simply acquire position information of a specified person. SOLUTION: A reception circuit 13 receives a radio wave sent from other mobile phones to a base station via an antenna 7 and extracts a caller telephone number from a signal resulting from demodulating the received radio wave. Then the reception circuit 13 collates the extracted caller telephone number with a specific number stored in a specific number register provided to the circuit 13 and outputs a specific number reception signal to a CPU 1 when they are coincident with each other. Upon the receipt of the specific number reception signal, the CPU 1 instructs an incoming tone reception tone generating section 11 on production of the reception tone and instructs a display section 5 to display the received specific number. A user of the mobile phone can recognize that a user of a mobile phone with the specific number is present in a neighboring area through the production of the reception tone or the display of the specific number.
