METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING SERVICES ACCORDING ACCESS DISTANCE

PURPOSE: A method and system for providing services according to access distance is provided to offer a selective service by discriminating service availability according to the access distance of a mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: A system for discriminatively providing services is composed of a service providing terminal(200) and the first to the nth mobile terminal(210-1-210-n). The service providing terminal(200) is comprised of a local communication module(202), an access distance detection module(204), a service multiplexer(206), and an information storage part(208). The local communication module(202) transmits local radio data to the mobile terminals(210-1-210-n) or receives local radio data from them. The access distance detection module(204) measures received signal strength indicators for the distance detection signals transmitted to the mobile terminals(210-1-210-n) through the local communication module(202) and conversely estimates the access distances of the mobile terminals(210-1-210-n) for the service providing terminal(200). The service multiplexer(206) provides preset services and information according to the estimated access distances of the mobile terminals(210-1-210-n). The information storage part(208) stores various services to be provided through the service multiplexer(206) and service setup distances.
