PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing unit that gives encryption processing for powerful copyright (intellectual property) protection to information data. SOLUTION: The data processing unit has an edit/input section 201 that generates permission data denoting whether or not protection is applied to information data on the basis of a prescribed unit, an IPMP data generating section and key generating section 206 that detects the prescribed unit of the information data and generates control data for encryption processing with respect to the information data and protection data denoting contents of the encryption processing on the basis of the information permission data, an encryption section 203 that encrypts the information data in response to the detection result and the control data, and a multiplexer section 211 that multiplexes the encrypted information data with the protection data and transmits the multiplexed data. |
