PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device where display defect caused by intrusion of moisture and ionic components from a sealing resin part is suppressed to the utmost even if stored in a place with high humidity over a long period. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device with a liquid crystal panel provided with a pair of substrates 1, 2 each having an electrode and an alignment layer 8, a liquid crystal 3 enclosed between the substrates and a sealing resin 4 to stick the substrates in the periphery of the displaying region with a suitable gap to each other, at least the one substrate 1 is provided with an ion adsorption layer 7 in the peripheral part of the displaying region 6. The ion adsorption layer 7 is formed on a peripheral light shielding body 5 outside the displaying region. |
