<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detector capable of precisely detecting a heating element located in the front of a vehicle without erroneously recognizing an object other than the heating element such as person or animal as the heating object even by use of an infrared photographic means. SOLUTION: An image processing means (control means) 3 receives the image information of a prescribed range from an infrared camera (infrared photographic means) 2 and compares the image information with the preliminarily stored human body (heating object) information on the basis of eigenspace method to detect a human body 8 within the image information.</p> |
