PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wear of the device due to contact-sliding of dynamic pressure bearing surfaces during the starting and stopping of the device to enhance the durability, in a fluid dynamic pressure bearing device in which a rotor is retatably supported by a fluid dynamic pressure bearing, facilitate the machining of dynamic pressure generating grooves, and prevent the attraction of the bearing surfaces. SOLUTION: By providing a low friction metal layers C having water repellency at dynamic pressure bearing parts 3a, 3b of a fluid dynamic pressure bearing device 1, friction can be reduced, wear or the generation of dust can be also effectively reduced, and attraction of the bearing surfaces due to dew condensation, etc., can be prevented.
