PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a treated amount of paper stock without causing reduction in quality in a screen cylinder. SOLUTION: In a screen cylinder of a paper stock screening apparatus in which plural plate members 31 are arranged at fixed intervals circularly and gaps between the adjoining plate members 31 form slit openings 25, the screen cylinder is equipped with ring-shaped members 26 having plural channels 32 for supporting the plate members 31, the plate members 31 are supported by the channels 32 and an adhesive 201 is packed into gaps 33 formed between the plate members 31 and the channels 32.
