The surgical collar is composed of front (1) and rear (10) half collars. Each half collar is shaped so that once assembled they form a collar preventing any movement of the spinal column. The base (2) of the front half collar is rounded so as to cover the top part of the chest and the shoulders and its upper part is molded to form a chin piece (5). The rear half collar has a wide arched base (11), which fits the back, and is extended upwards by an arched head support (12).
