摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a drive substrate with color filters which is capable of forming the color filters having excellent surface smoothness and uniform and sufficient coloring density directly on a substrate having electronic circuit materials at high resolution by utilizing its driving voltage without depending upon the combinations of TFT drive substrates and the color filters. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the drive substrate with the color filters consists in forming colored electrodeposition films on the substrate having the electronic circuit materials and light transparent electrode parts connected to data wiring via the electronic circuit materials by bringing the substrate into contact with an aqueous electrolyte containing an electrodeposition material containing color materials and impressing the sum total energy of the energy supplied from the data wiring and the compensation energy different from this energy to the electrode parts to electrochemically deposit the electrodeposition material on the electrode parts. The form in which the compensation energy is the photovoltaic force obtained by irradiating the light transparent optical semiconductor layers disposed on the electrode parts with light is more preferable.
