PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of parts of a deflection yoke, improve its strength and insulation and reduce its manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A deflection yoke 100 has a synthetic resin body 121 to position, fix, insulate, and protect a horizontal defection coil 111, a vertical deflection coil 112, and a core 113. To manufacture the deflection yoke 100, the horizontal deflection coil 111 and the vertical deflection coil 112 wound around the core 113 are first fixed temporarily in a prescribed positional relationship by means of jigs and arranged in a forming mold not shown, while this condition is kept. A molten resin is then poured into the forming mold. A molten resin solidifies, thereby forming a synthetic resin body 121. For the synthetic resin body 121, when the same is formed, there are formed a cylindrical portion 121A to be fit in the neck of a CRT and a circular groove section 121B for mounting a magnet.
