PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recording/reproducing method to prevent loss of existing data even when power interruption occurs in the emulation. SOLUTION: When a write request of data is newly generated, an ODU 203 of a drive device 200 reads the existing data which is already written in a target sector from an optical disk according to control of a CPU 205 and stores the read data in a memory. After that, the existing data is written in a specific area, namely, a recording area for saving provided on the optical disk. Next, history information of the existing data is registered in a history list to be a history information recording area provided on the optical disk. The existing data saved in the memory and new data are recoded in the target sector together after deleting all sectors in which the new data is intended to be written. The history information is finally deleted from the list.
